No, they should not.

1) Men would become overly protective of the women, especially if a relationship begins, and be distracted from tasks at hand.

2) If bunked together the men and women would be prone to sex. This would, undoubtedly, lead to unwanted pregnancies.

3) Funding would increase dramatically.

4) If a man is captured he is prone to physical abuse and death. If a woman is captured she is prone to physical abuse, death, and rape, etc.

5) Men can go months without sickness, but women are guaranteed to be ill, at least, once a month. The higher percentage of women in the force, the less reliable the health of the force is.

You again!

btw you do know there are already women in the army right? They don't bunk together.

And captured men are sexually abused too, see Abu Ghraib

Yes I know that, but there if there were to be a large influx of women into the military, I doubt that they would be live in separate bases from the men.

There are woman in the military now..it doesn't seem to be an issue.

They can live separately. In the everyday world men and women live together all the time, and there aren't any unusual number of "coat hanger abortions".

Ill once a month? Do you consider a woman's period as her being ILL?

As I said, if there were to be as many women as men in the military during a draft, it would be more likely to be an issue. There is no draft, and there aren't as many women as there are men atm.

Uhm, yes, I do. Women who are lucky enough not to have cramps or PMS have it good, but for the rest of us, there's a week out of the month where we can't be expected to preform at 100%.

Men go through hormonal changes every day throughout the day. How adequate their performance or temper is may depend on what time it is.

It's the same thing for women, except for that one week when it's magnified by about 10, at least.

What's the cost of saying, "You're a women, you bunk here, you're a man so you bunk here"?

If there were a draft anyway you'd have to be building the same amount of new resting areas.

Ah, so you meant separate bunkers. Different from bases.
Large numbers of men + large numbers of women tends to = sex.
